# James Dobson is bummin’
Here is his statement on why he will not support John McCain. Money quote:
“I’m deeply disappointed the Republican Party seems poised to select a nominee who did not support a Constitutional amendment to protect the institution of marriage, who voted for embryonic stem cell research to kill nascent human beings, who opposed tax cuts that ended the marriage penalty, and who has little regard for freedom of speech, who organized the Gang of 14 to preserve filibusters, and has a legendary temper and often uses foul and obscene language.
Foul language? This is pretty silly. I wonder if Dobson making a big deal out of this will end up HELPING McCain. Either way, I don’t think it’s going to hurt him that much and I like very much the idea of Dobson and company without a party to run too. Maybe Dobson will realize that no one is standing in his line because the last President evangelical voters delivered to us didn’t work out so well.
